LAYMEN MINISTRY

Motto: Leading All Men to God

The Laymen was started by Deacon Charles Vawters under the supervision of Rev. Wells when he saw that the men of the church needed a dedicated fellowship for study, outreach, and service.  Originally named the Brotherhood ministry, he sought to reach out to the key demographic of men between the ages of 18-35 that often leave the church because of college, military, and work.

The purpose of the Laymen ministry:

1. To enlist and coordinate the manpower of the local congregation for an effective performance of essential Christian activities.

2. To cultivate the Christian life of laymen through study, worship fellowship and service.

3. To enlist unchurched men for fellowship in and service through the church and to bring unsaved men into vital relations with       God in Christ through personal commitment to Him.

4. To inspire men to support the total program of the Church in the local congregation, the community, the denomination and the world.

The primary objective is  To reach unsaved men with the Gospel and to win them to God in Christ through a personal commitment to Him.

The Laymen meets every other Saturday at various locations for bible study, fellowship, and sometimes breakfast.  Please call the church for specific times and locations.
